We know we’ve been away awhile, but wanted to re-connect and share some thoughts on life, music and marketing.This past summer, we had some time on our hands and felt compelled to update  our book.

In the SECOND EDITION, we’ve revised and updated the text, resources and stats.  The book highlights numerous revenue streams facilitated through organizations in which you should register your copyrights – all, in an effort to not leave money on the table.

Additionally, we tackle a variety of topics including; demographic and psychographic segmentation, being your own best publicist, Google Search Console, live performances, single release strategy, social media, data / analytics, and taxes.

The objective of the book is in delineating a strategy in building a fan base and being found amongst the clutter. As quickly as our industry is evolving, two things remain constant - great music and marketing together will prevail. We debated the benefits of incorporating AI in the book. We tested it, and although the result was quite accurate, we felt it took the personality out of the book. Hence, this the 2nd Edition contains this disclaimer;

THIS BOOK WAS CRAFTED ENTIRELY BY HUMANS. NO ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) WAS USED IN ITS CREATION.

We’re encouraging the integration of AI into our classrooms. We recognize the metrics, that those graduating having a familiarity with AI will have a distinct hiring advantage over those that don’t. Next year we plan to issue the 3rd Edition of Music Marketing Stupid incorporating AI into the narrative.
